Mission
Duke Actors Management
Duke Kahanamoku was part inspiration for naming Duke Actors Management.
Duke was an incredible Hawaiian who was an Olympic swimmer, pioneer surfer, sheriff, he rescued 8 men all by himself from drowning, he was a musician and also appeared in 19 Hollywood films and documentaries.
He came to Freshwater Beach, Sydney promoting surfing with his daring demonstrations but most importantly was the way he lived his life. Duke was appointed "Ambassador of Aloha" in 1959 and for him it was more than a job. He called it his creed, and it reads, in part, "We greet friends, loved ones and strangers with Aloha, which means love. Aloha is the key word to the universal spirit of real hospitality...Try meeting or leaving people with Aloha. You'll be surprised by their reaction. I believe it and it is my creed"
And here at Duke Actors Management it is also our creed.
